Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (11/26/18)
Ryan Elido ’19
Senior
Basketball
GPA: 4.64

Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject is math because I see it as having to solve a puzzle, so I always have the satisfaction whenever I’m able to get an answer to a difficult problem.

How do you balance the academic and athletic rigors here at Servite? I try to limit myself from going on my phone and get as much homework done when I’m at home because I have a busy schedule with basketball. I also try to complete assignments the day they are given so that I don’t have to do it all on one day.

What is your go-to study tip for an upcoming exam? My go-to study tip is if I need any clarification on a certain topic, I watch videos on Youtube for extra help.

What else are you involved in at Servite? The Sanberg International Leadership Program, National Honor Society, CSF, Her Servants Kitchen (manager), Chinese Club (treasurer), Assistant Prior

What’s your biggest motivation that keeps you striving to be the best student-athlete you can be? My biggest motivation is my family because they always support me in whatever I do and I want to make them proud by doing best in school and basketball.

Current Courses: HP Physics, AP Goverment, AP Mandarin, AP Calculus AB, AP Literature, HP Critical Reflections
