Favorite School Subject: I would have to say my favorite subject is math. I’m in love with the concept of everything being connected and the fact that I’m surrounded with it in every activity I come across.

How do you balance the academic and athletic rigors here at Servite? After practice or a game, I’ll usually tune in to some relaxing, beachy music and crank out my homework all at once, finishing my day around 12-1 and make up my sleep before practice so I stay energized and ready to go. Although if things don’t go as planned, I will vigorously work to finish up any homework I haven’t done after practice.

What is your go-to study tip for an upcoming exam? I try my best to take as many notes as possible and when test time comes around, I study most of my notes and understand the why’s and how’s of any fact I have written.

What else are you involved in at Servite? Because of my paramount interest in mathematics, I can’t get enough of it and want to spread my knowledge to others. Through the California Scholarship Federation, I can do exactly that by helping others understand some concepts they may be shaky of and better their understanding of a subject. I am also in National Honor Society, which focuses on helping the unfortunate by raising awareness through certain events. When thanksgiving was approaching, the club sought out the less fortunate by gathering and making thanksgiving meals then handing them out to those in need.

What’s your biggest motivation that keeps you striving to be the best student-athlete you can be? My parents are always pushing me to be a better version of myself, and while I may not always fit the shoes that they want me to be in, I always try and do something everyday that would make them proud. In addition to that, I am a competitive person and I always strive to be the best in anything that I do.
