Servite Wrestling defeated Fountain Valley 43-25 last night led by Moises Segura (145), Neil Carter (160- pictured above), Ben Galindo (182) and Mason Graham (HWT) who all won by fall! Marcus Medina (132) and Roy Okada (152) were also victorious winning by major decision and decision respectively while Josh Medina (138) and Tristen Wilson (195) earned wins by forfeit.
Fountain Valley started the dual off with a bang winning the first four matches to jump out to a 19-0 lead but Servite answered winning five in a row to pull even and eventually take the lead, 25-19. The Barons got back in the win column at 170 but a pin at 182 then a forfeit at 195 put the Friars up 37-22 to put the victory out of reach for Fountain Valley.
This is the second dual win against a county opponent this season for Servite after the Fight’n Friars opened the year topping Villa Park 47-24.
The celebration was a special one as the Fight’n Friar program celebrated Alumni Night with over 30 alumni and many alumni families returning to campus!
Servite Wrestling will be back in action in the new year when they travel to Clovis to compete in the competitive Doc B Tournament January 3-4.
