Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (9/9/19)

Tommy Lien
Senior
Water Polo
GPA: 3.5

What is your favorite subject? Why? English, because I hope to have a future as a writer specifically in film scripting or story writing.

What teacher has most impacted you here at Servite? Why? Mrs. Campbell because of the way she teaches and shows love for her students. I always felt intrigued during her class.

Advice for freshmen on how to balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite: Time management and balance is best thing that Servite has offered me. I am a lot more active, alert, and better utilize my time thanks to it. Some tips are to always be aware of homework, tests, and basically stay ahead of the game.

What else are you involved in at Servite? Besides water polo and swim, I am a part of CSF (College Scholarship Federation) to help and tutor students that may be having trouble in a certain subject. Another thing I am involved in is Advanced Film, which is an elective class, but it produces Servite TV. I help with the boom mic and sound recording.

Career interest- I have looked into the possibilities of maybe writing, entertainment, sports media, or protective services.

Classes you’re currently taking- AP Environmental Science, AP English Literature, Film 2, Economics, Pre-Calculus, Critical Reflections
