Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (1/20/20)
Ryan Kay
Senior
Soccer
GPA: 4.10
What is your favorite subject? Why? History, I have always been fascinated by history because history makes sense. History is a long beautiful story and I firmly stand by the quote ‘Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. ‘
What teacher has most impacted you here at Servite? Why? I am very thankful that all of my teachers at Servite have impacted me in so many ways. But Mr. Angel in both freshman theology and campus ministry has really helped in the growth of my relationship with Christ which really allowed me to grow as a human being.
Advice for freshmen on how to balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite: It all comes down to time management and not taking everything too seriously. If you are able to work efficiently in your classes and get your work done there will be more time to have fun while your not too stressed out.
What else are you involved in at Servite? I am the student head of both Campus Ministry and the Admissions team at Servite, as well as an active member of the S.I.G.N. club and help out with planning for the Asylum.
Career interest- I would like to enter into the field of law then maybe move to a sports agency.
Classes you’re currently taking- CP Critical Reflections, CP Physics, CP Calculus, AP Macroeconomics, AP Biology, AP English Literature
