What is your favorite subject? Why? My favorite subject is sports medicine because the class pertains to my future career and I find learning about the movement and functions of the body very interesting.
What teacher has most impacted you here at Servite? Why? Both Mr. Powers and Mr. Fajardog have greatly impacted my life while here at Servite. They have both led me to a stronger connection with God and directed me to make better choices in every aspect of my life. Their advice and teaching are impeccable. There’s not a day that I don’t look forward to going into either of their classes (unless it’s a test). They are both legends living out their faith to the fullest .
Advice for freshmen on how to balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite: The main thing I would say is to 1) Always put academics first 2) Dont put limits on yourself and 3) If your ever doubting yourself in school or sports, read the best quote of all time “The Man in the Arena” by Theodore Roosevelt. You won’t get a redo in high school and you don’t want to have any regrets when you leave, so it is in your best interest to make the most out of the four years you are given. It’s all about finding the balance between school, sports, and social life. Time management and the will to succeed are two things that helped me achieve this balance . Remember, tough times don’t last, tough people do.
What else are you involved in at Servite? I’m involved in the sports medicine club, choir, and the tech crew for the upcoming play with Trinitas Arts Conservatory.
Career Interest- I’m interested in becoming a physician but more specifically an orthopedic surgeon or sports medicine doctor.
