What is your favorite subject? Why? At Servite, I have never had a sole favorite subject; I have always enjoyed my math and science courses most. In Biology, I am fascinated by the complexity of organisms and the unique structures and mechanisms within nature. In Calculus, I like exploring higher-order theories from simpler foundations. Through Physics, I have enjoyed understanding the principles of motion. Outside of Servite, I love reading books and articles about neuroscience in my free time.
What teacher has most impacted you here at Servite? Why? Again, I am unable to provide a single answer. Dr. Eng has been compassionate and caring throughout my four-year journey. Mr. Scott has supported me in my endeavors and my academic pursuits. Mr. Van Dyk has challenged me to become a better student and a better version of myself.
Advice for freshmen on how to balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite: Pursue your passions. Do not have any regrets.
What else are you involved in at Servite? I serve the student body as the Secretary General of the Priory Leadership Program. I am also President of Academic Decathlon, President of CSF, Vice President of Key Club, and a member of NHS.
Career interest- In the future, I plan on pursuing a dual M.D./Ph.D program in neuroscience. I hope to perform neurosurgery while researching cures to neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease.
