Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (8/20/18)
Matthew Kuehl
Senior
Water Polo/ Swim
GPA: 4.375

Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject is US History because I love to hear stories and learn how and why our country is the way it is today.

How do you balance the academic and athletic rigors here at Servite?

I balance my time between school and athletics by being as productive as possible throughout the day and minimizing the time I spend on my phone and watching TV.

What is your go-to study tip for an upcoming exam? My go-to study tip is to leave my phone or laptop on the other side of my room while I study so I am more focused, and to study a little for each subject every night.

What else are you involved in at Servite? I am Vicar General, a SILP (Sanberg International Leadership Program) Member, President of the Chinese Club, HSK volunteer, and on the Varsity Swim and Water Polo team.

What’s your biggest motivation that keeps you striving to be the best student-athlete you can be? My biggest motivation every day is to be a better person, athlete, student, friend, and son than I was the day before.
