Equanimeous St. Brown ’15 Drafted by the Green Bay Packers

With the 207th pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers selected Equanimeous St. Brown ’15. St. Brown is now the 5th Friar currently playing in the NFL joining Ryan Kalil ’03 (Panthers), Matthew Slater ’03 (Patriots), Matt Kalil ’08 (Panthers) and Troy Niklas ’11 (Patriots).

The 6’5″ wide receiver declared for the draft in January after a three-year collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame. St. Brown was Notre Dame’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2016 and was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List in 2017. During his career with the Fighting Irish he played in 32 games recording 92 receptions with 13 touchdowns averaging 16.1 yards per catch and 46.4 yards per game. He had a career high two touchdowns vs. Syracuse in October of 2016 becoming the first Notre Dame receiver with multiple touchdown catches of at least 67 yards in one game since Michael Floyd in 2009. He also finished his sophomore campaign ranked among the country’s top 50 receivers overall in touchdowns, receiving yards per game and receiving yards.

After playing mainly special teams his freshman season, St. Brown broke onto the scene vs. Texas in September of 2016 after scoring an amazing handstand touchdown against the Longhorns which quickly went viral and was even made into a meme.

St. Brown, who is fluent in English, German and French, was studying management consulting at Notre Dame.

During his time with the Friars, St. Brown was a 3-year Varsity letterman and a 1st Team All-Trinity League selection.
