Eight Student-Athletes Recognized on Winter Signing Day

Servite Athletics recognized eight student-athletes during our National Signing Day ceremony held in the gym earlier this month. Alex Chavez, Brett Lux, Kyle Pearce, Zuriel Silva and Chad Sinclair represented soccer while Christian Oviedo signed for volleyball, Jack Dunbar for water polo and Richard Krebs for football.

Football- 

Richard Krebs (Princeton): Krebs played both offensive and defensive line for the Friars his senior season and was a member of the Curia while serving as team captain for multiple games this year. He is a 2x All-Trinity League honoree and was invited to play in the OC All-Star game following his senior campaign.

Soccer-

Alex Chavez (La Verne): Chavez helped lead the Friars to their sixth consecutive Trinity League Championship this season while also being named Scholar-Athlete of the Week this winter.

Brett Lux (Concordia): Lux is a three-year varsity letterman for the Friars serving as captain his senior year while playing in all 24 games for Servite. The returning Trinity League Defensive MVP finished the year with seven goals and tied for a team-high nine assists.

Kyle Pearce (Hope): Pearce is a two-year varsity letterman for Servite playing forward for the Friars. He led the team in goals his senior season with 10 while tallying two assists.

Zuriel Silva (Cal State Dominguez Hills): Silva is a three-year varsity letterman for Servite being named 2nd Team All-Trinity League his junior year. This season, he served as a captain for the Friars tallying three goals while anchoring the back line for Servite.

Chad Sinclair (Biola): Sinclair is a three-year varsity letterman for the Friars being named 1st Team All-Trinity League as a junior. This season, he played center midfield for Servite recording eight goals and five assists.

Volleyball- 

Christian Oviedo (Concordia University): A three-year varsity letterman for the Friars, Oviedo has tallied 894 assists, 278 digs and 19 aces for Servite through two seasons with his senior year yet to be played.

Water Polo-

Jack Dunbar (Loyola Marymount University): A three-year varsity letterman for Servite, Dunbar helped lead Water Polo to the 2018 CIF Division 3 Championships being named 1st Team All-CIF and 2nd Team All-Trinity League in addition to being selected a Orange County Senior All-Star. Throughout his varsity career he tallied 189 goals and 127 assists.
