Recent Servite graduate David Mitzner ’20 has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Boys High School All-America Team! This honor adds to an already impressive list of senior accolades for the Friars’ goalkeeper after he helped lead the team to the 2020 CIF-SS Division 1 Championship, the second in school history, and their 7th consecutive Trinity League title.

For his efforts, Mitzner was previously named Trinity League Co-Defensive MVP, CIF-SS Division 1 Player of the Year and 1st Team All-Orange County while being selected to play in the SoCal HS Coaches Association All-Star Game.

He also earned OC Varsity Player of the Week honors following the Friars’ semifinal victory over Cathedral after he made eight saves in goal during regulation and three during penalty kicks. He then added seven saves in the CIF championship game against Loyola.

Mitzner will move on to compete collegiately at the University of Portland in the fall.
