Christian Martinez ’19 is this week’s Athlete of the Week after winning two Trinity League titles at League Finals last week. Martinez defended his 2018 title in the 50 Free breaking his own league record with a time of 20.53 and won the 100 Free coming in at 46.60.
He also anchored the Friars 200 Free relay team that earned a CIF berth.
Martinez is now a 4x league champion winning the 50 Free twice (2018, 2019), the 100 Free (2019) and the 200 Free relay (2018).
Martinez, who won a CIF Championship with Water Polo earlier this year, will now set his sights on a CIF Individual title when he competes at prelims Thursday and finals Saturday.
