She chose to work at Servite because she wanted to incorporate Christ into her lessons. After 24 years of teaching Spanish, Vicki Bonfadini retired in 2017. Her former students and colleagues describe her as the kindly Spanish teacher who faithfully attended school Masses and penance services, and gives a kind heart to everyone she meets. “Í hope my students always remember that our Mother Mary is always there to assist us in knowing and loving her Son,” she said. By keeping Christ in her classroom, Vicki helped students grow in their relationship with Christ. What made her special was not what she taught, but how she taught, helping others to become better by her example of Christlike ways.
