Servite Wrestling opened the season with a 2nd place finish at the Cossarek Classic with 15 placers including two Champions (138- Teddy Okada & 160- Neil Carter).
Okada battled to a 13-12 victory over Santa Ana to clinch the win while sophomore Neil Carter impressed in his first Varsity tournament cruising to a 5-0 match win in the final. Josh Medina (126) and Mario Cazarin (132) finished as tournament runner-ups with Andrew Silva (106), Daniel Magaña (132), Marcos Magaña (138) and Daniel Jurado (182) all took 3rd.
The Friars will be back in action when they dual Northview on Thursday then will travel to compete in the ClovisWest Shootout this weekend.
