Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (10/15/18)
Owen Borsari
Senior
Cross Country / Volleyball

Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject is Latin because, in addition to learning the language itself, I learn the history of classical civilizations through reading medieval documents.

How do you balance the academic and athletic rigors here at Servite? I balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite by staying focused and being efficient with my time. I have learned that completing assignments early frees up time for other activities.

What is your go-to study tip for an upcoming exam? My go-to study tip for an upcoming exam is to explain the answers to other people. By doing this, I reinforce what I have learned.

What else are you involved in at Servite? At Servite, I am also involved in CSF, NHS, Guitar Club, Her Servants’ Kitchen, and Academic Decathlon.

What’s your biggest motivation that keeps you striving to be the best student-athlete you can be? My biggest motivation is my parents, teachers, and coaches. I see how much they care for me, and I want to make them proud. I am privileged to attend Servite, and I want to make the most out of this incredible opportunity.

Current Courses: AP English Literature, AP Government/ Economics, CP Theology, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics, and HP Latin IV
