What is your favorite subject? Why? My favorite subject has easily been theology. Having a whole class dedicated to deepening and exploring my faith has been monumental in my growth as a person and Catholic.
What teacher has most impacted you here at Servite? Why? I have been lucky to have had so many amazing teachers but Mr. Bobby Angel had a huge impact on me. Before leaving to join Bishop Barron’s Word on Fire campaign, Mr. Angel was a mentor to me in and out of the classroom. Walking with me on my faith journey through multiple retreats and always making time to answer and hear my questions, Mr. Angel helped me to realize the value in leading a faith-filled life.
Advice for freshmen on how to balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite: Balancing classes at Servite is not easy. The challenge fosters growth and builds habits that you can take beyond high school. I would say to never back down from taking a class that seems “too hard.” Just like in the weight room, you can handle a heavier load than you think you can. Take advantage of your time. The little breaks between school and practice can be great times to get in work to take the edge off of homework in the evening.
What else are you involved in at Servite? I am Chairman of the Ambassadors Program, a member of Peer Assistance Leadership, an avid participant in multiple aspects of campus ministry, and a member of the Speech and Debate and Mock Trial team.
Career Interest- I am interested in going into marketing, sales, or product management in a corporate environment.
Classes you’re currently taking- AP English Literature, CP Calculus, CP Men’s Chorus, CP Critical Reflections, AP Macroeconomics
