What is your favorite subject? Why? My favorite subject is science. I enjoy science because there is more hands-on learning and it is intriguing to see how certain things operate in this world. Also, in science, I like how a lot of the content I learn can be applied to things going on across the planet today.
What teacher has most impacted you here at Servite? Why? The teacher who has impacted me the most at Servite is Mrs. Besne. Mrs. Besne is an amazing teacher and I had her for honors world history. In her class I learned many things about world history but I also improved my study habits and my writing skills. Whenever I had a question she could answer it and help clear up any topics. Having her as a teacher sophomore year definitely played a part in shaping me into the student-athlete I am today.
Advice for freshmen on how to balance the academic and athletic rigors at Servite: Some advice I could give to freshmen is to really consider priorities. Performing as an athlete is very important and it has its benefits. However, school should always be a priority over athletics especially as a new Servite student. That mentality has done nothing but good for me. Yes, colleges look at what you can do on the track, the field, and the pitch. However, more importantly they want to see how you perform in the classroom; what can you contribute to their campus academically?
What else are you involved in at Servite? I am currently involved in the yearbook elective at Servite. I have recently been given the role of editor-in-chief and look at is an an opportunity to challenge myself.
Career interest- I am interested in studying biology to pursue a job in the medical field or earning a degree in business.
