Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (8/27/18)
Ben Teske
Senior
Water Polo/ Swim
GPA: 4.26

Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject is science because I love learning how the world works and how amazing this planet is.

How do you balance the academic and athletic rigors here at Servite? To keep balance, I have to stay organized and make sure that I always set aside time for my studies, especially when sports gets crazy and I’m busy all of the time.

What is your go-to study tip for an upcoming exam? My go-to study tip for an exam is to pace yourself and try and rewrite your notes to help solidify the information and make sure everything stays in your head for the exam.

What else are you involved in at Servite? Other than water polo, I am part of the PLC (Priory Leadership Council) as the Amideus prior, I participate in Chinese club, Spanish club, and JSA, and also am a part of the work study program.

What’s your biggest motivation that keeps you striving to be the best student-athlete you can be? The biggest motivation that pushes me to excellence as a Servite athlete is my peers. I am surrounded by a hardworking, committed, caring family both in the pool and outside. My Servite brothers give me the opportunity to strive for greatness alongside them and we carry each other forward toward success.
