Robby Robertson first came to Servite High School in the spring of 1992 as a temporary technical director for Tri-School’s production of Brigadoon. After the production closed, Robby joined the Servite staff as technical director for Tri-School and stage manager for Servite Theater. Over the next couple of years, Robby developed curriculum for and built the Tri-School technical theater program. Within a couple of years, the program became UC approved and students were given one semester of fine arts credit for being a part of the year-long technical theater class. To help cover cost of theater operations, Robby began renting our theater to outside groups while providing a highly trained theater staff. His efforts greatly increased revenue and allowed Servite to upgrade our sound, lighting and video into the digital age. Outside groups renting Servite Theater return year after year due to outstanding operation and management of the theater under his direction. After 13 years of working with Tri-School and Servite, Robby took on a new role as Director of Facilities and stepped aside from Tri-School. As the Director of Facilities, he continued to manage the theater and daily operations along with the maintenance department, janitorial services, and security. In 2017, Robby added to his title, Executive Director of Theater Operations for Tri-School Theatre. He’s excited to be back with a program he strongly believes in and loves. Robby credits his success and joy of working at Servite to the team of employees in the facilities and theater departments.
