Role: Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf
Briefly tell us about your role:
I am playing the roles of the Wolf and Cinderella’s Prince.
How are you preparing for your specific role?
To prepare for the wolf, I actually watched videos to see how a wolf walks toward its prey. For the prince, I have tried to understand and further explore his emotions and his actions in order to find ways I can relate to the character.
What is your favorite song from the show?
My favorite song has to be “No More” since is beautifully written and allows for so much emotion and expression.
Can you share a favorite Tri-School memory?
My favorite Tri-School memory was when Erik Mercado and I were stage-slapping (it’s fake) each other and the stage manager got upset at us and thought we were actually fighting.
Favorite subject in school/Favorite teacher?
My favorite subject in School has to be Calculus with Mr. M. Since he makes me feel smart and I enjoy math.
Are you involved in anything outside of Tri-School?
Outside of Tri-School, I am involved in Boy Scouts, Piano, Ballet, Campus Ministry, Church Youth Ministry, and High School.
If you aren’t performing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
When I am not performing, I enjoy talking to my fellow cast members and becoming a family, of course only when I am not studying my lines
If someone could play YOU in the movie of your life, who would it be?
If someone could play me in the story of my life it would probably be Erik Mercado.
What are you excited for audiences to see in “Into the Woods”?
I am excited for Audiences to see the overall complexity of the show although it causes us Agony from time to time.

Role: Rapunzel’s Prince
Briefly tell us about your role:
Rapunzel’s Prince is a bit of a spoiled kid (even though he is an adult). As a Prince, he gets whatever he wants, he feels like he is above everybody else in the world including his older brother. He also acts as if everything is a competition that he NEEDS to win.
How are you preparing for your specific role?
For this role, I am preparing in many different ways. Everyday I am going over my lines and music for about 15-20 minutes, I am constantly walking around the house in a “Prince Like Manner”, and speaking in more “adult-like” voice.
What is your favorite song from the show?
My favorite song from Into The Woods is definitely Agony. Ever since I watched this show, Agony has been my favorite.
Can you share a favorite Tri-School memory?
My favorite Tri-School memory was the Group Circle for The Iliad. Very Emotional.
Favorite subject in school/Favorite teacher?
My favorite subject in school is definitely Advanced Choir. My favorite teacher at Servite is Mrs. DiCrisi.
Are you involved in anything outside of Tri-School?
Outside of Tri-School, I am involved in Campus Ministry, Advanced Choir, and a part of Club Vocati.
If you aren’t performing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
During my spare time, I am teaching myself how to read music, playing guitar and piano, or sleeping.
If someone could play YOU in the movie of your life, who would it be?
If someone were to play me in the movie of my life, it would be Taylor Lautner (only because people have told me I look like him).
What are you excited for audiences to see in “Into the Woods”?
I am excited for audiences to hear the music for this show. This cast has so many talented artists and singers and I am super excited to have people hear them.

I would like to thank my family for supporting me through this whole process, especially my parents. I would also like to thank my teachers who have rooted for me and pushed me to do what I love, especially Mrs. DiCrisi.
Name: Luke Mendoza
School & Grade: Servite High School, 9th
Role: Steward/Jack’s Understudy
I play the servant of Cinderella’s Prince, aiding him in his quest for marrying Cinderella. As for Jack, I am a poor child trying to sell my cow and begin an extravagant adventure.
How are you preparing for your specific role?
For my role, I want to understand the background context of the roles’ story, search for different physical and character choices, as well as experiment with the tone of my voice.
What is your favorite song from the show?
My favorite song from the show is “Your Fault” because the complexity of the song and the character dynamics are very fast and invigorating.
Can you share a favorite Tri-School memory?
One memory I remember from Tri-School is when I slept on the deck floor during Tech Week of The Iliad, The Odyssey, And All Of Greek Mythology In 99 Minutes Or Less. I was deeply embarrassed.
Favorite subject in school/Favorite teacher?
My favorite subject is Algebra 1 because I actually understand the concepts well. My favorite teacher is undecided. I love all of them!
Are you involved in anything outside of Tri-School?
I am involved in the Teen Action Committee of Orange, or T.A.C. for short.
If you aren’t performing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I very much enjoy taking walks with my dog, sleeping, playing the guitar, and cooking for my family.
If someone could play YOU in the movie of your life, who would it be?
I feel like Josh Gad is a good representation of my life because he’s always been an aspiring actor/performer to me and his role as Elder Cunningham in the Book of Mormon was priceless!
What are you excited for audiences to see in “Into the Woods”?
I feel that audiences will be very excited for the music and special effects for the musical. The beautiful music, each piece telling a different story, is well-put together; the sound and lighting effects will add more depth into the story and explain the concept of the scene more clearly.
Anyone you would like to thank?
I feel that my best friend, Samuel George, should deserve some recognition. Although I may be sarcastic and annoying towards him, he makes me feel good about my self-esteem when I have rehearsal with him for Jack’s understudy.
