Senior Luca de Lancellotti has committed to play football at Trinity College. The Friars’ LB/DE shared, “I chose Trinity because of their incredible academics on top of their amazing network of alumni that help you get amazing jobs post college.”

He went on to say, “Football wise, they have an great track record in the NESCAC league, being the most winning program including winning the championship the past three of four years. They also have a OLB hybrid position that would be perfect for me.”

A two-year varsity letterman for the Friars, de Lancellotti was selected to the Curia his senior season.

Coach Thomas shared, “Luca will do very well at Trinity College.  He is a smart, tough and physical linebacker who plays sideline to sideline. He also added pass rush specialist to his game this year.”

De Lancellotti, who plans to study business at Trinity, is also involved with the Priory program at Servite, volunteers at a local soup kitchen, and co-coaches a flag football team in Newport Beach.

He joins a talented senior class of commits becoming the sixth Friar football player to make his college decision. De Lancellotti will be recognized publicly with his teammates during the next signing day ceremony on February 5th.

In closing de Lancellotti shared, “A big, big thank you to my coaches for everything they have done for me and forming me into the player, but more importantly man I am today. Most importantly, thank you to my parents who have been my biggest supporters since day one. None of this could be possible without your constant love and support, it doesn’t go unnoticed, this is for you.”

Servite would like to congratulate Luca as he makes this commitment and takes the next steps in his academic and athletic journey.
