Senior Kunal Bagga has committed to play basketball at Whittier College. The Friars’ captain shared, “I really liked the coaching staff at Whittier from the start and they showed the most love and belief in my talent.”
A four-year varsity letterman for Servite Basketball, Bagga has been selected All-Tournament team five times in his career in addition to earning All-Trinity League recognition. This season, he tallied 388 points while setting a new school record shooting 86% from the free throw line.
Coach John Morris shared, “On behalf of myself and the entire coaching staff, I would like to congratulate Kunal on his hard work over these past four years paying off in his commitment to Whittier College. Whenever I think of Kunal, I will always remember his love and passion for Servite, he will go out as a true Friar. His desire, dedication, determination and discipline are second to none and I know he will continue to make Servite proud during his time at Whittier and beyond.”
Bagga, who plans to study psychology at Whittier, is also involved with the S.I.G.N. Club, YLB Challenger Division, CSF and Sports Medicine Club at Servite.
In closing Bagga shared, “First of all, thank you to my family for being there for me since day one. Second, thank you to the whole coaching staff for helping me become the best version of myself. All love.”
