If you’ve followed Servite Golf over the last four years you’ve heard the names Kyle Kinanne and Jack Rahon countless times as they’ve help lead the Friars to 3 CIF Championships and 4 Trinity League titles as well as numerous tournament championships. Their resumés speak for themselves and after four years of Varsity golf they are quite lengthy. With the announcement of the OC Register All-County selections, the golf season officially comes to a close and Kinnane and Rahon wrap up their high school careers as two of the most decorated golfers to come through Servite since current PGA Tour golfer Patrick Cantlay ’10.

It’s the third time Kinanne has received All-County honors after being named Golfer of the Year last season while Rahon has earned 1st Team All-County recognition twice.

As Kinnane (LMU) and Rahon (Seattle) move onto compete at the collegiate level, they give way to Servite’s talented underclassmen including sophomores Alex Hanz and Cameron Xiao who were both named 2nd Team All-Orange County this season. It’s the second time Xiao has been selected to the All-County team and the first for Hanz.

Kyle Kinnane ’18- Kinnane played in every match and tournament for Servite over his 4-year Varsity career. This season he posted a 73.7 18 hole average and a 36.1 9 hole average while finishing under par 14 times and as the match medalist 10 times. He also helped the Friars set a new school record as the team shot 13 under par blowing away the previous mark of seven under. That match he and Hanz both finished 4 under to pace the team. In addition to earning All-County honors three times, he was selected All-Trinity League four times including three 1st Team finishes.

Jack Rahon ’18- A state qualifier his junior season, Rahon kept his elite play going through senior year posting a team-low 72.3 18 hole average and a 35.8 9 hole average. He finished under par 11 times and as the match medalist 9 times while also winning two of the four tournaments Servite participated in. Like Kinnane, he was a 3x 1st Team All-Trinity League selection and played in every match and tournament for Servite during his high school career. He also qualified for the CIF-SS Individual tournament his senior season.

Alex Hanz ’20- After securing a spot on the Varsity as a freshman and playing in the CIF-SS team tournament, Hanz hit the ground running his sophomore year getting stronger as the season went on. He posted a 73.8 18 hole average and 36.9 9 hole average while earning 1st Team All-Trinity League recognition and an individual CIF-SS qualifying berth. He shot under par eight times while finishing as a match medalist seven times including the record-breaking round at Black Gold.

Cameron Xiao ’20- After only two seasons with the Friars, Xiao has already tallied quite a few accolades including 2x 1st Team All-Trinity League honors as well as 2x 2nd Team All-Orange County recognition. This year he posted a 73.8 18 hole average and a 36.9 9 hole average while coming in under par eight times and finishing as the match medalist six times. He finished in the top 10 at the prestigious Champions Invitational taking 7th overall and placed 3rd at the Herald Invitational.

Congratulations Friars on another championship season!
