Nearly a full year, 345 days to be exact, after high school competition was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020, Servite participated in their first athletic contest of 2021 today! Cross Country traveled to Santa Margarita to take on St. John Bosco in a cross country dual.

Individually, junior Jared Steins won the varsity race for the Friars coming in at 15:42.8 while Anthony Moore ’22 finished in the top spot for the JV squad with a time of 18:37.1. Steins also posted the best time of the event coming in ahead of the top runners from the other league schools that raced later in the day.

All Trinity League races will be held dual style this season and will take place at courses on and around the campuses of JSerra and Santa Margarita. Up next, Servite will take on Mater Dei at JSerra, the flatter of the two courses, Saturday, February 27.
