Fr. Justin Pisciotta O.S.M. was born in 1938. He entered the Order of Servants of Mary (Servite Friars) at St. Joseph Seminary, St. Charles, IL. He received a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Loyola University in Chicago. He completed his theological studies at Immaculate Heart Seminary at the University of San Diego. He was ordained a priest in 1964. He was a teacher of History and Religion and Dean of Discipline at Servite for 22 years (1967-1976, 1978-1986 and 1988-1993). He served 27 years in various parochial ministry assignments, these include: St. Dominic in Chicago, IL (1965); Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Denver (Associate Pastor 1986-88; Pastor 1994-1997), Holy Trinity in Westminster, CO (1993-94) and Christ the King, Milwaukie, OR (1998-2000). In 2000, he was assigned to St. Philip Benizi Parish in Fullerton and remained there until his death in 2012 at the age of 74. He served four terms on the Provincial Council of the Western Province of the Order (1970, 1979, 1982, 1994). He was a Formation Director and Staff Member in various seminaries of the Order located in St. Charles, IL (1964), Riverside, CA (1966), Dublin, Ireland (1976) and Berkeley, CA (1978).
