Beginning in fall 1971 and through spring 1998, the Servite Community was blessed to have Dale Eccleston as an English teacher and Basketball coach. During his tenure, he taught and coached 3,500 students and made a lasting impression on them. He did not tolerate unpreparedness and not doing homework. He controlled the classroom with silence, often with a finger waving, or nod or shake of his head. When he spoke, he commanded attention. He set high expectations of students and prepared them so they could stand courageously when called upon to deliver. Dale and his wife, Rhoda, reside in Overgaard, Arizona.
