Servite Athlete of the Week

With a week like Servite Wrestling had it’s no doubt that this week’s Athlete of the Week is a Fight’n Friar. The Wrestling program brought home the Trinity League title Tuesday then won the California Invitational Tournament this weekend.
With multiple strong performances and key matches throughout both events there were many options for this week’s honor but after being one of six Friars to earn bonus points for Servite against St. John Bosco and winning the California Invitational Tournament, Teddy Okada is this week’s Athlete of the Week.
In addition to winning CIT, he was also selected Lower Weight MVP finishing the tournament with three falls and two tech falls including a pin in the finals against the No. 6 ranked wrestler in the state, Luciano Arroyo of Calvary Chapel.
Okada and the Friars will be back in action this weekend when they compete at CIF Duals Saturday at Canyon.
