It was an exciting start to the season for Servite Baseball as the Friars opened the season 3-0 with two of their victories coming off walk-off hits.
On Opening Day, Servite and No. 1 ranked La Mirada battled to a 1-1 tie to force extra innings when sophomore Mikey Santos hit a walk-off double to win the season opener for the Friars.
Three days later, it was Santos again who stepped up to the plate during a tie ball game in the bottom of the 7th vs. El Toro and lined a walk-off single to right to propel Servite to a 4-3 victory!
The Friars, who are now 4-2, are in the middle of the Loara Tournament with action continuing Thursday at El Modena at 2:30pm.
