Spotlight on Esen Harris, Old Cleats New Feats.

Esen Harris, Junior, started his organization Old Cleats New Feats to reward less fortunate children with a pair of shoes. The mission statement for this organization is “We support and serve any children, regardless of race, creed or national origin. We are a non-profit organization. Soon to be official.” Esen has collected many pairs of shoes and is reaching out the Servite community to donate shoes to those who really need it.

Damn Yankees!

The Orange County community poured into the Servite theatre as Tri School Theatre showcased their Spring musical, Damn Yankees!, last weekend. Old Joe (Drew Ericsen ’13) trades his soul for a chance to lead the Washington Senators to a victory against the New York Yankees and transforms into baseball sensation, Joe Hardy (Grant Hodges ’14).  However, with success comes temptation… in the form of Lola (Alexandra Worden ’16), a seductress determined to make Joe forget about his wife, Meg (Melia Gonzalez ’13).  In the meantime, young upstart reporter Gloria (Hannah Butler ’15) is determined to uncover Joe’s story and make a name for herself.  The show was performed Thursday through Sunday and had fans singing along to songs such as “Six months out of every year”, “Shoeless Joe”, “Whatever Lola wants Lola gets.” The show overall was  great and the cast and crew did an phenomenal job! Keep up the good work Tri-School! 485557_10151581264950891_1622337872_n 936835_10151581263420891_1327890721_n
